Mandatory Food Waste Donation by Supermarkets

Large supermarkets and food retailers must donate unsold but edible food to charities and food banks instead of discarding it. This is already law in: France (2016 - first country), Italy (2016), Czech Republic, and parts of Spain. France's law has redirected over 46,000 tons of food annually to those in need.
