Right to Repair Electronics
by AnonymousJanuary 7, 2026
Manufacturers of electronics and appliances must make spare parts available for 7-10 years after a product is discontinued, deliver parts within 5-10 working days, and provide independent repair shops access to technical information and repair software. Products must display repairability scores at point of sale. This already exists in the EU (2024-2025) and France, and reduces e-waste while saving consumers money.
